Patna: Bihar Police has unveiled a new digital platform allowing citizens to file complaints and access a range of police-related services from the comfort of their homes. The Crime and Criminal Tracking Network System (CCTNS) Citizen Service Portal was launched on Saturday at the Police Headquarters by Deputy Chief Minister (Home) Samrat Choudhary.
The portal enables users to submit e-complaints, request police verification, register senior citizens, report lost property, and access other services without visiting a police station. Complaints submitted online will be investigated, and FIRs will be registered as required.

Certain features, including obtaining a copy of an FIR, submitting confidential information, and reporting notorious or wanted criminals, are available without logging in. Mobile OTP verification is mandatory for accessing FIR copies.
For more detailed services such as e-complaint verification, details of unidentified persons or bodies, arrested or wanted criminal information, missing persons reports, and character verifications, users must create an account on the portal. Registration requires basic details such as name and mobile number. The platform also offers online forms for applying for processions.
Speaking at the launch, Home Minister Samrat Choudhary emphasised the government’s commitment to providing digital access to police services. “Through this portal, citizens can avail themselves of a wide range of services efficiently, eliminating the need for frequent visits to police stations,” he said.
Senior officials, including Additional Chief Secretary of the Home Department Arvind Kumar Chaudhary and DGP Vinay Kumar, were present during the launch.
