Patna: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday inaugurated the Rabi Maha Abhiyan 2025-26, flagging off farmer awareness vehicles equipped with LED screens to spread information across all 38 districts of Bihar. The campaign aims to increase crop productivity and strengthen farmers’ access to new technology and government schemes during the Rabi season.
Officials said the Agriculture Department has roped in scientists from Krishi Vigyan Kendras and agricultural extension workers to conduct training programmes and awareness drives in every panchayat. Farmers will be informed about departmental schemes, subsidies, and advanced practices to improve crop yield.

Certified seeds and subsidised inputs will be distributed as part of the campaign. Experts will provide technical advice on crop management and modern farming practices, while awareness sessions will ensure that benefits reach farmers transparently.
Agriculture officials emphasised that the initiative is designed not just to boost Rabi production but also to build long-term resilience among farmers by familiarising them with modern techniques.
