Patna: Bihar’s Road Construction Minister Nitin Nabin has said that work on road projects announced during Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s Pragati Yatra is progressing fast. He shared this update during a review meeting held on Monday in Patna with senior officials of the department.
Out of the 137 projects that were part of the CM’s yatra, tenders for nearly 90 have already been completed. Land acquisition for about 20 projects has also been done, and the rest are in the final stages. Minister Nabin directed the officials to speed up the process and ensure all projects are completed on time and with good quality.
He said that the roads of a state show its development and Bihar is making strong progress in this area. The goal is to save people’s time and fuel, and to make travel safer and smoother. The minister also noted that the department has been receiving full support from both the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister.
Minister Nabin added that because these projects are large in size, the department must work with extra care. Regular monitoring is being done to keep track of every project. He said that the Road Construction Department is fully committed to turning the Chief Minister’s vision under the Pragati Yatra into reality.
