Patna: Bihar’s road construction minister Nitin Nabin held a high-level review meeting on Thursday with officials of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) and the National Highways Authority to push forward more than 40 ongoing infrastructure projects in the state.
The meeting, held a day after Nabin’s discussions with union road transport minister Nitin Gadkari, was attended by MoRTH additional secretary Vinay Kumar, additional director general Atul Kumar, road construction department secretary Sandeep Pudukalkatti and other senior officials.
According to officials, discussions covered detailed project reports, alignment and land acquisition issues relating to key schemes such as the Vikramshila Setu, Samastipur Bypass, Ram Janaki Marg and the AIIMS–Anisabad elevated corridor. Progress on 13 road overbridges was also reviewed. Nabin directed state officials to expedite approvals and resolve bottlenecks within a week.
“The government, under the leadership of the prime minister and chief minister, is continuously working to connect Bihar with a modern and inclusive road network,” Nabin said, adding that both the state and Centre were giving priority to connectivity. He claimed the NDA government was “fully ahead in the development of Bihar” and working rapidly to ensure better road links for citizens.
