Patna: Bihar Startup Summit 2025 witnessed an unprecedented turnout in Patna on Sunday, where more than 4,000 startups, investors, professionals, women leaders and entrepreneurs gathered to pledge their commitment to an entrepreneurial revolution in the state. The event, organised by the Let’s Inspire Bihar initiative led by IPS officer Vikas Vaibhav, was inaugurated by Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, who lauded the campaign as transformative for Bihar’s growth.
The deputy CM praised Vaibhav’s efforts, saying, “He is doing the work the government should be doing. Vikas Vaibhav is part of the government in spirit.” He also underlined the state’s readiness for industrial growth, citing improved infrastructure and energy capacity, and called the summit a timely push for Bihar’s startup culture.

The summit honoured 21 startups with the Bihar Udyamita Samman, each recognised for generating more than 100 jobs. Several startups also pitched for funding, with Dropthy’s founder announcing support of Rs 21 lakh for selected ventures. Four panel discussions brought together experts from across India and abroad to share insights on innovation, entrepreneurship, and women’s leadership in business.
In an impassioned address, IPS Vikas Vaibhav shared his vision of filling Patna’s historic Gandhi Maidan with “millions of startups and entrepreneurs.” He traced the journey of Let’s Inspire Bihar from its launch in 2021 to today’s network of more than 2,50,000 members, including 15,000 entrepreneurs and corporate professionals, and over 600 startups connected to its mission. “This is not just about building businesses; it’s about reshaping Bihar’s future,” he said.

The summit also saw the release of a draft Vision 2047 document, which outlines a roadmap across 16 sectors including education, agriculture, healthcare, tourism and entrepreneurship, with the final version to be launched in Bengaluru in December. The document envisions a Bihar where by 2028 every district will host at least five startups, each generating over 100 jobs.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks, performances of the national anthem, and a sense of shared determination to transform Bihar through entrepreneurship.
