Patna: The Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation (BSTDC) has launched a new ‘Patna Darshan’ tourism package aimed at visitors seeking to explore the state capital through a luxury caravan experience.
Priced at Rs 16,000, the package combines visits to some of Patna’s best-known landmarks with a speedboat ride on the River Ganges.
Heritage Tour Across Patna
The itinerary includes visits to Takht Sri Harimandir Ji Patna Sahib, the Bihar Museum, Bapu Tower, Golghar and Sabhyata Dwar.
Tourists will also be taken on a speedboat ride on the Ganges as part of the package.
According to the Tourism Corporation, the luxury caravan can accommodate up to 10 tourists on a single trip. Bookings for the package can be made at the corporation’s office on Daroga Rai Path in Patna.
Luxury Caravan Facilities
To support the initiative, the Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation has procured two luxury caravan buses at a combined cost of around Rs 2.18 crore.
Each caravan is equipped with seating for eight passengers and four sleeper berths. The buses also feature four revolving chairs, a sofa, a kitchen, a bathroom and television facilities.
Additional amenities include a generator, camping canopy, CCTV surveillance and an SOS emergency button. Each sleeper berth is fitted with an individual reading light and television.
Rental Option Also Available
Apart from the Patna Darshan package, the caravan buses will also be available for private bookings.
The Tourism Corporation has fixed the rental charge at Rs 75 per kilometre, subject to a minimum booking distance of 250 kilometres. An additional 5% GST will be applicable.
Officials said the initiative is intended to promote experiential tourism while providing visitors with a more comfortable way to explore Bihar’s heritage and cultural attractions.
