Patna: The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has clarified that the requisition for the fourth phase of teacher recruitment, TRE-4, was not returned to the Education Department, amid reports and speculation over the delay in issuing the recruitment advertisement.
The Commission said that certain technical and procedural errors were identified during scrutiny of the requisition. It subsequently wrote to the concerned department seeking corrections.
The BPSC said the claim that the TRE-4 requisition had been returned was false and urged candidates to rely on information issued through official channels.
Advertisement Awaiting Corrected Requisition
According to the Commission, the advertisement process cannot move forward until the required corrections are made and the revised requisition is received.
The BPSC said that after the rectification process is completed, it will issue the TRE-4 advertisement and invite applications as soon as possible.
The clarification comes as a large number of candidates have been waiting for details of the fourth phase of Bihar’s teacher recruitment process.
Education Minister Says Errors Rectified
Education Minister Mithilesh Tiwari also addressed the issue, saying the department had received a letter from the BPSC regarding errors in the requisition.
Tiwari said the errors pointed out by the Commission had been rectified and the process of sending the revised requisition had been completed.
He also said some subjects were omitted from the original TRE-4 requisition. A supplementary requisition covering those subjects is expected to be sent to the BPSC within the next one or two days.
Exam Schedule Expected After Requisition
The Education Minister said the recruitment process should face no major hurdle once the supplementary requisition is submitted.
Tiwari also said the BPSC was making preparations for the recruitment process and that he had discussed TRE-4 with the Commission’s chairman.
The next formal step will depend on the Education Department submitting the corrected and supplementary requisitions to the BPSC.
What TRE-4 Candidates Should Know
The latest clarification indicates that the TRE-4 recruitment process is continuing and has not been cancelled.
The delay in the advertisement is linked to corrections required in the requisition and the addition of subjects omitted from the original proposal.
Candidates have been advised not to rely on unverified claims circulating on social media. The BPSC and Education Department remain the primary sources for official updates on the advertisement, application process and examination schedule.
BPSC Postpones Factory Inspector Document Verification
Separately, the BPSC has postponed the document verification process for 17 Factory Inspector posts under the administrative control of the Department of Labour Resources and Migrant Workers’ Welfare.
The verification was originally scheduled from August 11 to August 17. The Commission said the schedule for candidates whose verification was scheduled between July 28 and August 17 will be republished.
However, the document verification schedule from August 18 to August 24 will remain unchanged.
