Statewide Impact On May 5
The meteorological centre said a yellow alert will cover nearly the entire state on May 5. Districts across Bihar — from West Champaran to Kishanganj, including Patna, Gaya, Bhagalpur, Munger, Siwan, Darbhanga and Purnia — are likely to witness thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds.
Conditions To Ease Gradually

However, a yellow alert will remain in place for northern and eastern districts such as West Champaran, East Champaran, Gopalganj, Siwan, Saran, Muzaffarpur, Vaishali, Samastipur, Darbhanga, Madhubani, Supaul, Araria, Kishanganj, Purnia, Katihar, Saharsa and Madhepura, where light rain, thunderstorms and strong winds may persist.
Officials have advised residents to remain cautious, particularly in areas prone to lightning and strong winds, as rapidly changing weather patterns continue to affect the region.
