Patna: The Bihar government will transfer Rs 10,000 each to the bank accounts of another 10 lakh Jeevika Didis on Friday under the Chief Minister’s Women Employment Scheme (Bihar Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana 2025). The initiative, aimed at supporting women associated with Jeevika self-help groups, is being rolled out in phases.
So far, Rs 10,000 each has been transferred to 14 lakh women, but officials say a substantial number of eligible beneficiaries are still awaiting payment.
Rural development minister Shravan Kumar said the government is working to ensure that all remaining eligible Jeevika Didis receive the benefit by December 14. “Every eligible Jeevika Didi will be covered under the Chief Minister’s scheme,” he said.
Shravan added that the next tranche of payments will be made on November 28, when Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will directly transfer the funds through DBT to the accounts of 9.5 lakh women in rural areas and 50,000 women in urban areas associated with Jeevika groups.
Officials said the phased transfer process is intended to prevent administrative delays and ensure that payments reach beneficiaries without errors. The scheme is part of the state’s wider push to expand economic opportunities for women and strengthen self-help group networks across Bihar.
