Patna: The Bharatiya Janata Party’s Bihar unit is preparing to construct a new, modern state headquarters in Patna, with plans for a high-tech complex aimed at strengthening organisational capacity and election preparedness.
The proposed headquarters will be built on land near Patliputra Junction, off Patli Path in the state capital. Party sources said construction would begin once final approval is received from the BJP’s central leadership in New Delhi.
According to officials familiar with the project, the new headquarters will be spread over approximately 13,000 to 15,000 square feet, with an estimated construction cost of around Rs 200 crore. The architectural blueprint has been prepared in Delhi and has already been reviewed by the party’s national construction committee.

Formal clearance from the central office is awaited before work begins. The land for the new building has already been acquired, party sources confirmed. The existing state BJP office in Patna will continue to function alongside the new facility.
Security and technology are expected to be central features of the new headquarters. Plans include comprehensive CCTV surveillance across the entire campus, from entry to exit points. The building will also house a digital war room, a modern call centre, an IT cell and a dedicated election management room.
Party leaders believe the upgraded infrastructure will enhance internal coordination, data-driven campaigning and organisational outreach, particularly as the BJP gears up for future assembly and national elections in Bihar.
