BPSC Rejects Allegations of Paper Leak, Calls Khan Sir’s Claims ‘Baseless and Misleading’

Patna: The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has dismissed allegations of irregularities in the 70th Combined (Preliminary) Competitive Examination, calling the claims made by certain coaching institute operators “factless and misleading.”
In a statement issued a while ago, the commission refuted reports that question papers were changed at various exam centres, particularly in Khagaria and Bhagalpur. It also rejected claims that question papers were stolen from treasuries in Nawada and Gaya districts.
“These allegations are entirely false. Some individuals are deliberately spreading misinformation on social media to create confusion among candidates,” the statement read.
The response comes amid ongoing protests led by Khan Sir, a well-known educator, and several aspirants demanding a re-examination over alleged malpractices. Addressing protesters in Patna’s Gardanibagh for the second consecutive day, Khan Sir had claimed that the Bihar government was aware of the issue and urged officials to cancel the preliminary exam.
The commission urged candidates to disregard “baseless propaganda” and rely only on its official website for updates.
The controversy has intensified after aspirants accused the BPSC of failing to prevent paper leaks and unfair practices at certain centres. The government has yet to make an official decision on the demand for a re-exam.
