Muzaffarpur: B.R.A. Bihar University in Muzaffarpur celebrated the 79th Independence Day with pride and enthusiasm. The main event took place at Ambedkar Park in the university’s administrative block, where Vice-Chancellor Prof Dinesh Chandra Rai hoisted the national flag in the presence of faculty members, staff, and guests.
In his speech, Prof Rai said Independence Day is not only a day to remember India’s history but also a reminder to work for the country’s growth and development. He spoke about the university’s progress in academics, research, innovation, and social inclusion, and said these achievements have given it a special place in the country.
Prof Rai compared the university’s journey to India’s path towards self-reliance, highlighting the nation’s progress in the economy, science, technology, and cultural heritage. He stressed that education is the key to making India strong and prosperous, and called on everyone to contribute to the vision of “Viksit Bharat 2047”.
The event ended with a pledge to work for a self-reliant India. Senior officials and faculty, including Madam Vice Chancellor Smt Bibha Rai, Proctor Prof B.S. Rai, Registrar Prof Samir Kumar Sharma, and others, attended the ceremony.
