Patna: State-run telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has introduced a special prepaid upgrade scheme, Azadi, to celebrate Independence Day. Available exclusively in the Bihar Telecom Circle, the plan offers mobile users 2GB of data, unlimited calls and 100 SMS per day for 30 days, all for just Rs 1.
The scheme, which runs from August 1 to 31, is valid for customers purchasing a new SIM or upgrading from 2G/3G to 4G. Mobile Number Portability (MNP) is also available, allowing users to switch to BSNL while retaining their number.
SIM upgrades can be carried out at BSNL customer service centres, authorised retailers and franchise outlets. BSNL’s General Manager (Sales) said the initiative aims to provide affordable and reliable 4G services to consumers.
