Patna: Bihar Urban Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (Buidco) has directed divisional officers to take accountability for the implementation and monitoring of ongoing urban infrastructure schemes across the state.
Managing director Animesh Kumar Parashar said the move aims to strengthen oversight and ensure that projects are completed on time, within set quality standards and with full transparency. The divisional-level teams will be responsible for regularly checking, reviewing and reporting on schemes being executed at the district level.
The projects under this mandate include drain construction, sewage treatment plants, the Namami Gange programme, crematoriums and other critical urban infrastructure initiatives.
Budco has stressed that timely reports from the divisional teams must be submitted to headquarters. Officials have also been instructed to prevent negligence and delays in construction work. According to Animesh, the initiative is expected to accelerate the pace of implementation while safeguarding quality and accountability.
