Patna: The Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna (CIMP) is preparing to host the IIC Regional Meet 2025 on Tuesday, December 2, bringing together innovators, higher education institutions and experts from the startup ecosystem. The event aims to encourage new ideas, promote young entrepreneurs and build stronger collaboration between academia and industry.
The Chief Guest for the event will be Ajay Yadav, Secretary of the Education Department in Bihar. Other prominent dignitaries include Akhilesh Kumar, Assistant Director of AICTE, Prof Dr Rana Singh, Director of CIMP and Kumod Kumar, CAO of CIMP. The programme will begin at 8am with registration, a signatory campaign and a central inauguration ceremony, followed by a group photograph with all dignitaries, participants and ecosystem partners.
The event will feature a wide range of activities throughout the day. There will be a product demonstration and exhibition of innovations and startups supported by the YUKTI platform. The Swadesh Udyami-Bazaar will promote “Vocal for Local” through stalls run by young entrepreneurs. Participants will also benefit from various learning sessions, including Training of Trainers (ToT) for Innovation Ambassadors, masterclasses for startup founders and one-to-one mentoring and pitching sessions with industry experts.
A key theme of the meet is strengthening the innovation ecosystem across Higher Education Institutions. Discussions will focus on the IIC structure adopted by colleges, the role of Innovation Ambassadors, mentorship models for supporting startups and the importance of developing ideas through the YUKTI Innovation and IPR Repository. Towards the end of the day, awards will be presented to the best innovators, IIC posters and outstanding Innovation Ambassadors from the region.
Prof Dr Rana Singh said that promoting innovation goes beyond generating ideas; it also involves building a culture of collaboration and entrepreneurship. He added that CIMP’s recent 4-star IIC rating reflects the institution’s dedication to empowering young innovators. CAO Kumod Kumar said the meet will act as a powerful platform to connect institutions, innovators and ecosystem enablers, supporting the national vision of “Vocal for Local” and Atmanirbhar Bharat.
The IIC Regional Meet 2025 is expected to become an important milestone for innovation in Bihar and beyond, inspiring young minds and strengthening startup development across the region.
