CM Nitish Kumar inaugurates Daniyawan bypass ROB to ease traffic congestion

Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated the Daniyawan bypass Railway Overbridge (ROB) under the National Highway-30A (Fatuha-Harnaut-Barh) road project in Patna district. The Chief Minister unveiled the plaque and cut the ribbon to mark the opening of the ROB. Following the inauguration, he inspected the site and highlighted that the new overbridge would significantly improve traffic flow in the area, which had been hampered by frequent jams due to the railway crossing.

The ROB, part of the larger NH-30A project, aims to provide smooth connectivity across the region. The 71.77 km highway starts at Fatuha and passes through Daniyawan, Harnaut, and Saksohra before reaching Barh. The bypass, which spans 1.17 km and includes the new overbridge, was constructed to resolve the persistent traffic bottleneck caused by the railway gate at Daniyawan market.

Speaking at the event, Nitish Kumar emphasized the positive impact of the project, noting that with the opening of the bypass, the movement of vehicles would now be much smoother. “This overbridge will bring significant relief to commuters and improve connectivity between Patna and Nalanda districts,” he said.

The project, located across 36.47 km in Patna district and 35.30 km in Nalanda district, is expected to enhance the region’s transport infrastructure, easing traffic and improving road safety.

Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha, along with other key officials, including Dr. S. Siddharth, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, and Mihir Kumar Singh, Additional Chief Secretary of the Road Construction Department, were also present at the event. Senior officers such as Patna divisional commissioner Mayank Warwade and District Magistrate Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh attended the inauguration, underscoring the significance of the development for the region.
