Patna: BUIDCO celebrated Constitution Day on Wednesday with great enthusiasm, marking the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Indian Constitution. Programmes were organised at the organisation’s headquarters in Patna as well as at regional offices in several districts of Bihar. The celebration was held under the theme “Our Constitution, Our Self-Respect,” and saw participation from senior officials, officers and employees from different departments.
The event began with a collective recitation of the Preamble of the Constitution. All employees stood together and read out the Preamble with pride and respect, highlighting their commitment to the democratic values that guide the nation. The atmosphere was filled with a sense of patriotism and responsibility as everyone reflected on the importance of the Constitution in shaping India as a democratic republic.
Speaking on the occasion, BUIDCO Managing Director Animesh Kumar Parashar said that Constitution Day should not just be observed as a formality but as a reminder of values that must be followed in daily work. He explained that principles such as justice, equality, liberty and fraternity are written in the Constitution, but their real meaning is fulfilled only when they become part of workplace culture and professional conduct. He urged employees to adopt honesty, dedication and sensitivity while performing their duties.
Parashar added that the goals of the Constitution can be achieved only when every individual contributes responsibly, whether in governance or public service. He encouraged staff to consider the Constitution not only as a legal document but as a guide for ethical behaviour and decision-making. The programme concluded with a renewed commitment among officers and employees to uphold constitutional values and contribute to the development of the state with sincerity and respect.
