Patna: The Railways has announced two additional temporary stoppages for Train No. 15507/15508, the Darbhanga–Patliputra–Darbhanga MEMU Intercity, at Bajpatti and Dumra stations under the Samastipur division.
According to the Railways, the move has been taken to improve commuter convenience, particularly for passengers travelling from Sitamarhi and nearby areas.
New Stoppages Announced
Chief Public Relations Officer Saraswati Chandra said Train No. 15508 (Patliputra–Darbhanga MEMU Intercity) will now halt at Dumra and Bajpatti stations during its onward journey.
The decision has been implemented on a temporary basis following passenger demand in the region.
Updated Timings
For Train No. 15508, the halt schedule is as follows:
- Dumra station: arrival at 10:43 PM and departure at 10:45 PM
- Bajpatti station: arrival at 11:34 PM and departure at 11:36 PM
For Train No. 15507 (Darbhanga–Patliputra MEMU Intercity), the revised stoppages will come into effect from June 2. The train will:
- Halt at Bajpatti at 3:49 AM and depart at 3:51 AM
- Halt at Dumra at 4:25 AM and depart at 4:27 AM
Passenger Convenience
Officials said the two-minute halts at both stations have been introduced in response to long-standing demands from local commuters. The stops are expected to ease travel for passengers from Bajpatti, Dumra and surrounding areas, especially those travelling towards Patna, Darbhanga and other key destinations.
