Patna: A high-level review meeting on eleven satellite township projects was held at the Sankalp Auditorium in Patna. The meeting was chaired by Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary at Lok Sevak Awas to assess the status of ongoing urban development works.
Principal Secretary of the Urban Development and Housing Department, Vinay Kumar, presented a detailed update on the locations of the proposed townships, land availability, infrastructure progress, and the future implementation roadmap.
Focus on Time-Bound Execution
During the review, the Chief Minister stressed that the township development initiative is a key infrastructure project for the state. He directed officials to ensure its completion within fixed timelines and accorded it high administrative priority.
He instructed departments concerned to resolve bottlenecks related to land acquisition, approvals, and inter-departmental coordination without delay. Officials were also asked to strengthen monitoring mechanisms to ensure regular progress tracking.
Urbanisation and Economic Objectives
The Chief Minister said the 11 satellite township projects are expected to strengthen planned urbanisation in Bihar. He added that the initiative would support economic expansion, generate employment opportunities, and improve access to modern residential infrastructure.
He emphasised that coordinated efforts between departments would be essential to accelerate execution and maintain project timelines.
