Land acquisition and other hurdles to be cleared
During the meeting, officials discussed issues affecting project implementation, including land acquisition, traffic management, alignment and other construction-related obstacles.
The minister directed officials to resolve issues related to land acquisition, utility shifting and tree felling through coordination with the Railways, Forest Department and district administration.
Additional resources are also to be deployed wherever necessary to accelerate construction and meet revised project deadlines.
Negligent agencies may face debarment
The department issued a strict warning regarding delays in project execution. Officials said agencies found responsible for negligence could face debarment, while action may also be taken against government officials found negligent in monitoring or executing the projects.
The department secretary said projects are being continuously monitored through headquarters-level reviews and site inspections, particularly those progressing behind schedule.
