Patna: Bollywood actors Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have announced they are expecting their second child, sharing the news on social media with an image featuring their daughter, Dua.
The photograph, posted on both actors’ Instagram accounts on Sunday, shows Dua holding a positive pregnancy test kit. Singh is seen holding the child, though his face is partially obscured, while only part of Dua’s face is visible.
The announcement prompted a wave of responses from fellow actors and industry figures. Nimrat Kaur commented: “Congratulations! May you both be blessed with happiness.” Actor Danish Pandor, who appeared alongside Singh in Dhurandhar, wrote “Mehar”, while Neil Nitin Mukesh responded with an emoji.
Padukone and Singh welcomed their first child, Dua, on September 8, 2024, announcing her birth with a joint statement on social media. The couple had earlier confirmed Padukone’s first pregnancy in February that year.
They married in 2018 in Italy after several years together.
Singh was most recently seen in Dhurandhar 2, which performed strongly at the global box office, reportedly becoming one of the highest-grossing Indian films worldwide. The film’s earnings placed it behind Dangal and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, while surpassing Pushpa 2.
Padukone, meanwhile, is expected to appear alongside Shah Rukh Khan in the forthcoming film King.
