Patna: One of India’s best-known North Indian restaurant brands, Dhaba Estd. 1986 Delhi, has opened its first outlet in Patna, marking a significant addition to the city’s expanding food scene. The new restaurant, located at Urmila Arun Arcade near Income Tax Golambar in Kidwaipuri, represents the brand’s debut in Bihar as it continues its nationwide expansion.
Founded in Delhi nearly 40 years ago, Dhaba built its reputation on lively, rustic Punjabi cuisine served with a distinct highway-dhaba character. Over the decades, it has evolved into a well-recognised dining chain with a presence across major metros and several tier-2 cities. Patna now joins this network.
Rahul Khanna, co-founder and director of Azure Hospitality, said the Patna launch was driven by the city’s strong food culture. “Dhaba has always stood for unapologetic flavours, warmth and an unmistakable personality,” he said. “Bringing Dhaba to Patna is a major step in taking our legacy to new regions.”
The Patna outlet offers a 60-seater dining space designed in a polished, contemporary interpretation of the traditional dhaba. Colourful interiors, truck-art details and a playful aesthetic reflect Dhaba’s updated 2.0 identity while remaining familiar to long-time fans.

The menu features many of the brand’s celebrated dishes — Butter Chicken, Balti Meat, Amritsari Macchi, Dal Dhaba, Paneer Tikka and a range of tandoori classics, breads and rich gravies. An exclusive mocktail selection has also been introduced to complement the bold flavours.

Nikita Rani, franchise partner for the Patna outlet, described the launch as “a moment of pride”, adding: “We are excited to bring an iconic national brand to Bihar and look forward to giving Patna a vibrant, flavour-packed dining experience.”

Dhaba Estd. 1986 Delhi, part of Azure Hospitality, has built a national reputation for its hearty Punjabi fare and modern yet nostalgic take on the traditional highway eatery — a formula it now brings to its newest home in Patna.
