Patna: The upcoming spy thriller Dhurandhar: The Revenge, starring Ranveer Singh, is shaping up to be one of the most talked-about releases of 2026. As the film’s release date approaches, new reports indicate that its runtime may be significantly longer than previously announced, adding to the growing anticipation among fans.
Earlier this year, it was reported that the film had received clearance from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with a runtime of approximately three hours and 28 minutes. However, according to entertainment portal Bollywood Hungama, the duration may now extend to around three hours and 55 minutes effectively making it a near four-hour theatrical experience.
There has been no official confirmation from the makers regarding the revised runtime. Industry observers note that changes in editing and final cuts are not uncommon in large-scale productions. If confirmed, the extended duration would place Dhurandhar: The Revenge* among the lengthier mainstream commercial releases in recent years.
The film is scheduled to hit cinemas on March 19, 2026 and will be released as a pan-India project across multiple languages. Trade analysts suggest that the strong pre-release buzz could translate into a substantial box office opening.
Meanwhile, speculation that the trailer would be unveiled on March 3 during the Holi festivities has been dismissed. Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh stated that the trailer will not be released on that date, indicating a possible shift in the promotional calendar.
