Patna: Dr Diwakar Tejaswi, Medical Director and Senior Physician at Public Awareness for Healthy Approach for Living (PAHAL), today urged students to adopt a balanced lifestyle and steer clear of addictive substances.
Addressing pupils of Ram Mohan Roy Seminary School during the ‘Walk for Life’ programme organised by Aastha Foundation, Dr Tejaswi emphasised the prevention of lifestyle-related illnesses, particularly diabetes. He advised that many such conditions could be avoided through a combination of balanced diet, regular exercise, adequate sleep and stress management.

Highlighting a growing concern, Dr Tejaswi warned against the increasing abuse of injectable drugs among young people, noting the risks of addiction, infections such as HIV and hepatitis B and C, and other serious health complications. He encouraged students to not only avoid drugs themselves but also educate their peers about the dangers.
Concluding his address, Dr Tejaswi said, “A right lifestyle and staying away from addiction is the key to a healthy future.”
