Gayaji: A tragic incident marred the second day of the “Voter Adhikar Yatra” in Bihar when a 58-year-old man from Agar village collapsed in the packed crowd and later died in hospital.
The man, identified as Shivnarayan of Alipur police station area, fainted amid the gathering assembled to see Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Prasad Yadav. Emergency responders rushed him to a nearby hospital, where doctors confirmed he had suffered a fatal heart attack. The Yatra had commenced in Sasaram and on this day had reached Gaya.
The incident occurred during a highly charged public gathering marked by showers and passionate speeches. Earlier in the day, Rahul had addressed supporters, delivering the keys to a house to the family of Dashrath Manjhi and lambasting the ruling government over inflation, unemployment and farmers’ distress. Tejashwi also urged accountability from the Election Commission.
