Patna: The Economic Offences Unit (EOU) on Wednesday carried out raids at three locations linked to Anubhuti Srivastava, an executive engineer from Siwan, in connection with a disproportionate assets case.
Searches were conducted at Srivastava’s residence in Gomtinagar, Lucknow, an apartment at Arpana Mansion in Rupaspur, Patna, and at the Siwan Municipal Council office. According to investigators, Srivastava is accused of amassing wealth 79% higher than her known sources of income.
The engineer had earlier been booked under the Prevention of Corruption Act by the Special Monitoring Unit in August 2021, with a charge sheet already filed in court. Despite the ongoing trial, Srivastava, whose suspension was recently lifted, was appointed as municipal executive officer in Siwan.
