Patna: Two men were arrested on Friday for allegedly impersonating officers of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in the vicinity of Patna Airport, police said.
According to officials, the Airport Police Station received a tip-off that individuals claiming to be associated with the central investigating agency were roaming in the area. A police team was dispatched immediately to verify the information.
When questioned, the men were found wearing fake CBI identity cards around their necks. Officers also recovered a motorcycle displaying a counterfeit agency logo, which has been seized.
Both suspects were taken into custody, and legal proceedings have begun. Dr Anu Kumari, SDPO-1 Secretariat, confirmed the arrests and said the matter is now under investigation.
