Buxar: Former Indian Police Service officer Anand Mishra formally entered the fray for the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections on Friday, filing his nomination from the Buxar constituency. Following the submission, a large-scale blessing ceremony took place at the Buxar Fort Ground, where thousands of supporters and NDA workers gathered, chanting slogans including “This time, NDA government” and “Anand Mishra Zindabad.”
The event saw participation from senior BJP and NDA leaders, including Aligarh MP Satish Gautam, BJP District President Om Prakash Bhuvan, former District President Rana Pratap, senior leader Pradeep Dubey, Mahila Morcha President Kanchan Jaiswal, JDU District President Ashok Singh Yadav, LJP (R) District President Akhilesh Singh, and HAM (S) District President Baliram Kushwaha, alongside officials from all constituent parties.
Addressing the crowd, Mishra described Buxar as a land defined by service, dedication, and struggle, where honesty and hard work have long been valued. He pledged to contest the election with a focus on improving education, employment, security, and development, stressing that the poll was about Buxar’s collective future rather than individual ambitions. “I have always chosen the path of truth and service throughout my career, and now I have entered politics with the same spirit,” he said.
Aligarh MP Satish Gautam hailed Mishra’s entry into politics as a positive signal for the region, emphasising that the responsibility to shape Buxar’s future now lies with the public. BJP District President Om Prakash Bhuvan underscored the unity of the NDA coalition in the elections, while senior leader Pradeep Dubey urged party workers to consolidate support behind Mishra to accelerate development across the constituency.
