Patna: Ticket registration for the Hero Asia Cup, set to be staged for the first time in Bihar, opened on Tuesday morning, with fans required to book online through the Ticketgenie app. The matches will take place at the Astroturf ground in Rajgir, with entry free of charge but subject to prior registration.
According to the Bihar State Sports Authority, booking opened at 8am and each ticket will be linked to an Aadhaar card. Director General Ravindran Shankar said that a single Aadhaar card can be used to secure up to two tickets, although only one person will be admitted per ticket. “If two tickets are booked, both people must enter together. Tickets cannot be transferred, and neither screenshots nor photographs will be accepted,” he said.
Only one ticket can be booked per mobile number. If a second ticket is attempted from the same number, the booking system will display it as sold out. Tickets will be issued on a day-to-day basis, giving access to all matches scheduled on that date between 9am and 5pm.
To book, spectators must download the Ticketgenie app, register with a mobile number, and upload Aadhaar details. A confirmation message will then be sent, and the official ticket with a QR code will be generated on the day of the event. Entry will only be allowed once the QR code is scanned at the venue gate.
