Gayaji: IIM Bodh Gaya has signed an agreement with AGD Biomedicals to boost its MBA in Hospital and Healthcare Management (MBA-HHM) programme. AGD Biomedicals is a well-known Indian company that makes diagnostic medical equipment. This partnership will help students learn more about the medical devices industry and prepare them for careers in this fast-growing field.
As part of the deal, AGD Biomedicals will design and teach a new course called Dynamics of Medical Devices & Equipment Business. This course will focus on how the Med-Tech industry works and what skills are needed to succeed in it. Students who do well in the course will also get a chance to do summer internships and may even be offered job placements at AGD Biomedicals.
The agreement was signed by Dr. Vinita Sahay, Director of IIM Bodh Gaya, and Dr. Rajesh M. Patel, CEO of AGD Biomedicals. Both said this partnership is a big step forward. It will help connect classroom learning with real-life work in the healthcare industry. Dr. Swapnarag Swain, who leads the MBA-HHM programme, also said the partnership will bring more industry knowledge into the classroom.
IIM Bodh Gaya started the MBA-HHM programme in 2023. It trains students to work in different areas of healthcare such as hospitals, health insurance, pharmaceuticals, and digital health. With this new partnership, the institute hopes to offer better learning and career opportunities for students who want to work in healthcare management.
