Patna: A five-day workshop on transformer architecture and artificial intelligence concluded at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Patna on Monday, with speakers highlighting the growing significance of AI in research and society.
The programme, titled Transformer Architecture: Deep Dive (TADD-2026), was organised by the department of computer science and engineering at IIT Patna and supported by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation. It brought together academics and industry experts to explore advances in transformer-based AI systems.

Addressing the valedictory session, chief guest T. N. Singh underlined the transformative role of artificial intelligence, urging participants to adopt the technology responsibly and use it for societal benefit.
The workshop’s convener, Rajiv Misra, said the programme aimed to provide participants with both theoretical understanding and hands-on exposure to modern AI systems built on transformer architectures.

Sessions included keynote talks by experts from academia and industry, including Pankaj Singh, Divya Saxena, Indu Joshi, Deepak Pandey and Anupam, who spoke on developments in artificial intelligence and machine learning.
Co-convener Rahul Mishra helped lead the initiative, which organisers said reflected a growing interest in transformer-based technologies and their real-world applications, as institutions seek to train the next generation of AI practitioners.
