Patna: IIT Patna hosted an inspiring interactive session titled Udaan, jointly organised by the Centre for Career Development & Counselling (CCDC) and the Students’ Gymkhana, where three alumni who cracked the UPSC Civil Services Examination shared their journeys with current students.
The speakers included G. Sahi Darsini, who secured AIR 112 in UPSC CSE 2023, Vivek Garg from the Chemical Engineering batch of 2017–21, who secured AIR 114 in UPSC CSE 2024, and Abhinav Sharma, alumnus of the 2020 batch, who achieved AIR 130 in UPSC CSE 2024.
Welcoming the achievers, IIT Patna Director T. N. Singh felicitated them with mementos and angavastras, describing the moment as one of “immense pride” for the institute. He said their achievements demonstrated the diverse career paths IIT graduates are now embracing.
The alumni shared personal experiences, motivations, and preparation strategies.
