Patna: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Patna and Amity University Patna have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to work together under the Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Program (MMTTP), sponsored by the University Grants Commission (UGC). This partnership aims to improve the quality of educators in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, providing teachers with better training, new skills, and opportunities for research and innovation.
The agreement was signed by Prof. T. N. Singh, Director of IIT Patna, and Prof. (Dr.) Vivekanand Pandey, Vice Chancellor of Amity University Patna, in the presence of senior faculty, officials, and the Program Director of MMTTC at IIT Patna. The event highlighted the shared commitment of both institutions to support teacher development and strengthen higher education in Bihar.
Prof. T. N. Singh said the collaboration would help integrate research, innovation, and practical learning into higher education. He added that it would benefit educators not only in Bihar but also in other parts of the country by improving teaching methods and contributing meaningfully to society.
Prof. (Dr.) Vivekanand Pandey said the partnership would bring a new level of faculty empowerment and excellence in teaching. The MoU also plans joint workshops, seminars, curriculum improvements, and research projects, reflecting a joint effort to promote continuous learning, innovation, and quality education for teachers and students alike.
