Patna: Professor T. N. Singh, Director of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Patna, has been elected as a Fellow of the National Academy of Sciences, India (NASI), one of the country’s most prestigious scientific honours.
The fellowship, awarded for the year 2025, acknowledges Prof. Singh’s remarkable contributions to the field of Earth Sciences, his visionary academic leadership, and his dedication to promoting research and innovation.
Widely respected for his pioneering studies and commitment to expanding scientific knowledge, Prof. Singh’s work has had a significant impact on both academic and applied research in India.
In total, 80 distinguished scientists from across India have been elected as Fellows of NASI this year.
Founded in 1930, the National Academy of Sciences, India, is the oldest science academy in the country. It continues to play a key role in fostering scientific advancement, encouraging collaboration among researchers, and addressing critical challenges in science and society.
