Patna: The technology meet held at IIT Patna over four days has been described as a major success, with leading companies from across India and abroad showing strong interest in student innovations. The event turned the campus into an active space for research discussions, technology showcases and industry-academia collaboration. Companies such as Pathway, Arista Networks, Adobe, Drona Aviation, Stemvibe, Genuity 10, Eternal, ISRO VLSI, Jio Health, Ebullient Securities, LAT Aerospace, Observe AI and Qtrino attended, making the meet one of the most significant gatherings on the institute’s calendar.
Theme focuses on how ideas spread and create impact
This year’s theme, “Resonating Cascades,” aimed to highlight how ideas and technology move across networks to create real-world change. The concept encouraged students to think of research not as isolated work, but as part of a larger flow of knowledge that affects industries and society. Students from multiple branches – including computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, chemical engineering, materials science and aerospace engineering – took part and presented their work.
Students solve real-world problems through technology
A key feature of the event was the opportunity for students to work on real problems submitted by government agencies, research organisations and private companies. These problems covered important sectors like artificial intelligence, space systems, smart mobility, sustainability, advanced materials, cybersecurity, robotics and health engineering. By addressing these challenges, students gained valuable experience in solving issues that industries face today.
A boost for innovation, teamwork and future careers
The event also focused on helping students build essential skills. They worked in teams, used design thinking techniques and improved their research abilities. Many student groups developed prototypes that could be used in practical situations, increasing their chances of future research collaboration, publications and even startup opportunities. According to organisers, the tech meet has strengthened the link between IIT Patna, industry partners and research bodies, creating a strong foundation for future technological growth.
