Patna: India Post has launched a mobile application titled ‘My Employee App’, aimed at digitising Human Resource (HR) services for its employees and Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS). The initiative enables users to access multiple administrative functions through smartphones, reducing dependence on paper-based processes.
The department said the platform has been introduced to improve efficiency and streamline internal HR operations across its workforce.
Developed by CEPT
The application has been developed by the Center for Excellence in Postal Technology (CEPT). Officials said it has been designed as a self-service platform to provide employees real-time access to HR-related services.
Services Available on Mobile
The app allows employees to perform key functions such as marking attendance, applying for leave, viewing salary slips, updating personal profiles and submitting transfer requests.
It also enables users to file income tax declarations, submit reimbursement claims and access grievance redressal services through a single interface.
Performance And Training Features
Along with routine HR functions, the app includes modules for GPF management, performance evaluation and training and development. Real-time notifications have also been integrated to improve internal communication.
Availability on Android and iOS
The Department of Posts confirmed that the app is currently available on the Google Play Store for Android users. It will be available on the Apple App Store for iOS users from June 8, 2026.
Push Towards Digital Administration
Officials said the initiative aligns with the broader Digital India programme by promoting paperless governance and greater transparency. An accompanying MIS portal has also been developed for monitoring employee performance.
Senior official Supriyo Ghosh has urged staff training and capacity building to ensure wider adoption of the platform across the organisation.
