Patna: The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has announced a new Bharat Gaurav tourist train for pilgrims, offering an eight-night, nine-day journey to four Jyotirlingas, Shirdi Sai Baba Temple and the Ellora Caves. The train, operating under package code EZBG32, will depart from Raxaul on September 1.
The pilgrimage train will board passengers from several stations in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh before heading to key religious destinations in Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra.
Route And Boarding Points
The train will originate from Raxaul and stop at Sitamarhi, Darbhanga, Samastipur, Muzaffarpur, Hajipur, Patliputra Junction, Ara, Buxar, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction (DDU) and Prayagraj Chheoki to pick up passengers.
According to IRCTC Regional Manager Kanhaiya Sharma, the itinerary includes visits to the Mahakaleshwar and Omkareshwar Jyotirlingas in Ujjain, the Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga in Nashik, Shri Sai Baba Temple in Shirdi, and the Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga and Ellora Caves in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.
Part Of Government Tourism Initiative
IRCTC said the tour is being organised under the Central government’s Dekho Apna Desh and Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat initiatives, which seek to promote domestic tourism, religious travel and cultural integration.
Fare And Package Inclusions
IRCTC Senior Supervisor Sanjeev Kumar said the package includes rail travel, hotel accommodation, local transport, sightseeing, vegetarian meals on and off the train, travel insurance, security arrangements and other essential services.
The fare has been fixed at Rs 18,160 per passenger for the Economy (Sleeper) class, Rs 32,550 for the Standard (3AC) class and Rs 39,425 for the Comfort (2AC) class.
Around 550 seats are available for the tour, including approximately 350 Sleeper, 160 Third AC and 40 Second AC berths.
Passengers booking in groups of 10 or more will receive a discount of Rs 750 per person.
