Patna: Popular Patna-based educator Khan Sir broke down during a live class on Saturday after learning about the death of NEET-UG aspirant Ritik Mishra, amid continuing controversy surrounding the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak.
Visibly emotional during the session, Khan Sir said the examination controversy represented not merely an issue of malpractice but a direct assault on the futures of millions of students.
“Today, a teacher feels helpless on his own platform. Today, we have nothing left to offer you,” he said during the live broadcast.
‘This Is Not Just An Exam, It Is Their Entire Life’
Referring to the repeated allegations of paper leaks in national entrance examinations, Khan Sir said students and families often made enormous sacrifices to prepare for competitive exams.
He said many families:
- worked under financial strain
- borrowed money for coaching fees
- travelled long distances for examinations
only to see the integrity of the examination process collapse.
“This is not just an exam; it constitutes the entire life of these children,” he said, struggling to contain his emotions.
The educator criticised the National Testing Agency, stating that teachers were left with little reassurance to offer students after the cancellation of the examination.
“We return empty-handed, merely telling the children to have patience,” he said.

Emotional Remarks On Aspirants’ Futures
During the session, Khan Sir spoke at length about the social and economic pressures faced by aspirants from modest backgrounds.
He referred to students from families of:
- street vendors
- labourers
- vegetable sellers
who often travelled long distances to appear for the examination.
He also expressed concern that repeated controversies surrounding national examinations could permanently derail the aspirations of students hoping to enter the medical profession.
In emotional remarks directed at authorities overseeing the examination process, he said those “toying with the future of children” failed to understand the pain caused to poor families.
NEET-UG 2026 Re-Exam Scheduled For June 21
The NEET-UG 2026 examination was conducted on May 3 but subsequently came under scrutiny following allegations of a paper leak, similar to the controversy that had surrounded the 2024 examination cycle.
Following mounting criticism and investigations, the National Testing Agency cancelled the examination.
The agency has since announced that the re-examination will now be held on June 21, 2026.
The controversy has reignited nationwide debate over:
- examination security
- accountability within testing agencies
- mental health pressures faced by aspirants
- the impact of repeated paper leak scandals on students and families.
