Rajgir: Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs Kiren Rijiju on Thursday visited the Glass Bridge, Nature Safari and Zoo Safari complex in Rajgir, praising the region’s lush greenery and the role of the forest department in preserving it.

Describing Rajgir as an ideal destination for both nature enthusiasts and spiritual travellers, Rijiju highlighted the importance of maintaining ecological balance while promoting tourism. He observed the natural landscape, biodiversity conservation initiatives and ongoing tourism development projects at the site.
The minister was accompanied by Ramsundar M, director of Rajgir Zoo Safari, who briefed him on the functioning of the zoo and nature safari. The presentation covered wildlife conservation programmes, environmental education initiatives and systems in place for visitor management.

Rajgir, a historic and religious centre in Bihar, has in recent years emerged as a prominent eco-tourism destination. The glass bridge and safari complexes have drawn increasing numbers of visitors, positioning the town as a key attraction for both domestic and international tourists.
