Patna: A student from Patna has emerged among the top performers in the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) Intermediate results 2026, highlighting the role of discipline and consistent effort in academic success.
Mahi Kumari, a resident of Harni Chak in Anisabad, secured second position in the Commerce stream at the state level, marking a significant achievement for her and her school.
A student of Kamala Nehru Girls Higher Secondary School in Gardanibagh, Mahi said that setting clear goals and maintaining a steady study routine played a crucial role in her performance. She typically studied for six to eight hours a day and stressed that last-minute preparation alone is not sufficient to achieve strong results.
She advised students to focus on regular study throughout the year and make effective use of online learning resources. At the same time, she underscored the importance of classroom teaching, particularly in government schools.
Mahi credited her teachers for their dedication, saying that proper guidance within the school environment can significantly reduce the burden of exam preparation. “If teachers guide well and students pay attention, much of the preparation is completed in school itself,” she said.
Coming from a modest background, Mahi’s father runs a small general store while her mother is a homemaker. Despite financial constraints, her parents ensured that her education remained uninterrupted.
She described her parents as her primary source of motivation, supporting her ambitions and encouraging her to pursue her goals.
Mahi had earlier scored 87.4% in her Class 10 examinations and now plans to prepare for competitive exams. She aspires to join the administrative services or the banking sector in the future.
Her achievement is being seen as an example of how determination, family support and effective schooling can help students succeed despite limited resources.
