During the operation, officials confirmed large-scale power theft through tampering with the electricity meter and registered an FIR against the factory operator.

After several hours of inspection, engineers found that the electricity meter had been tampered with to illegally draw power. The meter was seized and sealed for further examination. Authorities have imposed a penalty of Rs 20,39,270 on the accused.

According to officials, the raid was carried out on Thursday afternoon at a factory operating under the name Anushka Enterprises, where plastic granules were allegedly being produced using illegally tapped electricity.

Avinash Kumar, Superintending Engineer of PESU East, and Sajjad Ansari, Executive Engineer of the Gulzarbag Electricity Supply Division, said that the FIR was filed by Sujit Kumar, Assistant Engineer of the Meena Bazar Substation.
