Muzaffarpur: A labourer died in a road accident in Muzaffarpur on Friday afternoon after two bikers making reels collided with his bicycle. The incident took place near Mungauli Masjid Chowk on the Saraiya–Muzaffarpur road. Police said the impact was so strong that the man died on the spot, while four others were injured.
The deceased has been identified as Akhilesh Kumar, 35, son of Sarikhan Sah and a resident of Gopinathpur Dokra under Nagar Panchayat. He was returning home after work when the accident happened. His body was later sent for postmortem by the police.
According to witnesses, the bikers were riding recklessly while filming reels on their way to Muzaffarpur. The two bikes collided and hit the cyclist, leading to the fatal accident. The injured were immediately admitted to hospital for treatment.
Police said the two injured bikers are residents of Patahi in Muzaffarpur. An investigation has been launched into the case. The accident has raised concerns about the growing trend of risky stunts on roads for social media videos.
