Muzaffarpur/Patna:The railway administration has announced a special train service for candidates returning after appearing in the CET-BEd and CET-Shiksha Shastri Joint Entrance Examination 2026.
According to railway officials, the special train will depart from Muzaffarpur Junction for Narkatiaganj at 2 pm on Sunday. The move comes in response to the large number of candidates travelling through the station following the examination.
Officials said the Carriage Department has handed over the required rake to the Operating Department to ensure smooth operation of the service.
Additional rake kept on standby
Railway authorities have also arranged an additional rake as a contingency measure.
Officials said that if passenger numbers exceed expectations, the reserve rake could be deployed immediately on the Muzaffarpur–Patliputra section to manage overcrowding and facilitate passenger movement.
Heavy footfall at Muzaffarpur Junction
A large number of examination candidates began arriving at Muzaffarpur Junction from late Saturday night ahead of the entrance examination.
The station premises witnessed significant footfall, with candidates occupying waiting halls, circulating areas and platforms while awaiting onward travel.
Crowds were also visible on foot overbridges and other parts of the station complex as candidates prepared for the examination and return journeys.
Railways monitoring situation
Railway officials said they are closely monitoring passenger movement and crowd levels at the station.
The administration has stated that necessary arrangements are being made to ensure that candidates can travel safely and without undue inconvenience after the examination.
