Rajgir: Nalanda University hosted a special workshop under its Sahbhagita initiative on September 25, drawing nearly 350 students and teachers from nine surrounding schools to its Rajgir campus for an evening of cultural exchange.
The highlight of the event was a live demonstration and practice session of Kalaripayattu, the ancient martial art of Kerala. Students enthusiastically tried the moves while learning about the cultural and historical roots of the tradition. Participating schools included Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Kerala Public School, Chakrapani Residential School, and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Awasiya Vidyalay.

Principals and students alike appreciated the effort, noting that such programs build a strong and heartfelt bridge between the university and the community.

Vice Chancellor Professor Sachin Chaturvedi remarked, “Sahbhagita initiative reflects Nalanda University’s commitment to fostering bonds with neighboring villages and nurturing the spirit of shared participation. With everyone’s continued support, such efforts will surely move forward with greater strength.”
