Patna: The post-mortem examination of a teenage NEET aspirant who was found dead in a Patna hostel has revealed multiple injuries across her body, strongly indicating the use of physical force prior to death, according to the autopsy report prepared at Patna Medical College.
The post-mortem, conducted on January 12, noted several abrasions and bruises on the lateral sides of the neck, shoulder, chest, back and limbs. Medical findings describe injuries consistent with blunt force trauma and signs of struggle. The report also mentions partially removed clothing at the time the body was examined.
External examination recorded partially present rigor mortis, suggesting death occurred several hours before the body was brought for autopsy. Internal findings showed congestion of the brain, lungs and other vital organs, with no evidence of natural disease, effectively ruling out death due to medical causes.
The autopsy report further states that the injuries were ante-mortem in nature, indicating they were inflicted while the victim was alive. Medical opinion has highlighted that the pattern and distribution of injuries are suggestive of violence rather than accidental harm.
