Patna: The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) Patna turned into a vibrant runway on Thursday as the campus hosted Nox, the first-ever public fashion walk organised by the newly formed Modelling Society. The event marked a major milestone for the institute, giving students a platform to express creativity, confidence and fashion innovation in front of a live audience.
More than 40 student models walked the runway wearing a wide range of outfits designed, curated and styled by NIFT’s own design students. The show highlighted a mix of contemporary and avant-garde fashion, demonstrating how young designers are experimenting with silhouettes, textures, bold cuts and striking visual themes. The atmosphere was energetic, and every model appeared determined to make the first edition of Nox memorable.

NIFT Director Col Rahul Sharma applauded the society and participants, calling the event a strong step towards professional skill-building. He said the fashion walk was not only a showcase of clothes but an opportunity for students to apply classroom learning in a real industry-style setting and build confidence for future careers. He added that such events help students understand the challenges, demands and rhythm of the fashion industry, while also learning teamwork and show production.
The event drew a large and enthusiastic audience of students and faculty members, filling the venue with excitement from start to finish. Organisers said they were thrilled with the response and believe the success of Nox sets the stage for bigger events in the future. The Modelling Society now plans to conduct regular fashion shows and styling events on campus, aiming to establish NIFT Patna as an emerging hub of modelling, creative direction and fashion presentation in the region.

The Modelling Society, which is run by students, was formed with the intention of supporting those interested in fashion walk performance, posing, styling and presentation skills. With professional guidance, training and mentorship, the society hopes to help students grow not only as designers but also as confident performers ready for a competitive fashion industry.
