Patna: The National Institute of Open Schooling has announced the results of the Secondary and Higher Secondary On-Demand Examinations (ODE) conducted between January 16 and 31.

Candidates can access their results on the official portal, and those who find discrepancies have been advised to report them to their respective regional centres within 30 days of the declaration.

According to official data, 2,373 students registered for the secondary course, of whom 1,777 appeared and 982 passed, resulting in a pass percentage of 55.26%. At the higher secondary level, 6,338 students registered, 3,927 appeared and 2,373 cleared the exam, with an overall pass percentage of 60.43%.

Gender-wise data shows that in secondary exams, girls recorded a pass percentage of 54.29% compared with 55.77% for boys. In higher secondary, pass percentages were nearly identical, with girls at 60.43% and boys at 60.44%.

Students dissatisfied with their results can apply for rechecking or re-evaluation from March 27 for a period of 15 days. The fee for rechecking is Rs 400 per subject, while re-evaluation — available only for Class 12 — costs Rs 1,200 per subject, along with an additional processing fee of Rs 50.

The institute also confirmed that mark sheets, certificates and migration-cum-transfer certificates for successful candidates are being dispatched to regional centres for distribution.

Meanwhile, NIOS has released the date sheet for upcoming Class 10 and Class 12 theory examinations scheduled for April 2026. The exams will begin on April 10 and continue until May 6, with most papers scheduled in the afternoon session starting at 2:30pm.

Practical examinations, which began on March 17, will continue until April 1. Students are required to complete their practicals before appearing for theory exams. Admit cards will be issued soon through the official portal, and candidates will be given an additional 15 minutes to read the question paper before the start of each exam.
