Patna: Nitin Nabin has once again become a key member of the Bihar government after receiving two important portfolios. Following the formation of the new cabinet, the Bankipur MLA has been given charge of the Road Construction Department as well as the Urban Development and Housing Department. These major departments put him at the centre of crucial development work across the state, such as road building, housing projects, and improvements in urban services.
Shortly after the portfolio announcement, Nitin Nabin went to Naveen Sinha Park in Rajvanshi Nagar, Patna, to pay tribute to his late father. He offered flowers at his father’s statue and remembered his contribution to politics and public life. Digha MLA Sanjeev Chaurasia also accompanied him during this emotional moment.
While speaking to the media later, Nitin Nabin said that his life in politics has been deeply connected to his father’s work and values. He said that for the last 20 years, he has been working to strengthen the foundation laid by his father. “I want to further strengthen the legacy he has left behind. I want to work among the people,” he said. He also stated that he has taken oath as a minister once again with the blessings of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Meanwhile, the newly sworn-in ministers are still waiting for complete portfolio allocations in the Bihar cabinet. Many ministers have taken oath, but several are yet to receive their departments. This time, a number of new faces have entered the cabinet, and there is a belief that there may be noticeable changes in responsibilities compared to previous terms. For now, Nitin Nabin’s appointment to two major departments indicates that the government is focusing strongly on infrastructure and urban development in the coming period.
