Patna: Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar visited several prominent khanqahs in Patna on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, offering prayers and extending greetings to devotees.
He began his visits at Khanqah-e-Mujibiya in Phulwari Sharif, where he met the sajjada nashin, Syed Shah Ayatullah Qadri, and sought his blessings while conveying Eid greetings.
Visits across Patna City

The chief minister then travelled to Khanqah-e-Munemia at Mittan Ghat in Patna City, where he joined sajjada nashin Syed Shah Shamimuddin Ahmed Munami in prayers for peace, harmony and prosperity in the state.
He later visited Khanqah Bargah-e-Ishq at Takia Sharif, also in Patna City, where he greeted sajjada nashin Syed Shah Khwaja Amir Shahid and interacted with those present.
Call for harmony

During the visits, Nitish Kumar emphasised the importance of communal harmony and extended his wishes to people celebrating the festival.
He was accompanied by several political leaders and officials, including rural works minister Ashok Chaudhary, JD(U) working president Sanjay Kumar Jha, MLA Shyam Rajak, MLC Sanjay Kumar Singh, district magistrate Thiyagarajan S M and senior superintendent of police Kartikeya K Sharma.

The visits formed part of the chief minister’s customary outreach during major festivals, underscoring a message of unity and social cohesion.
