Patna: Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar will begin the second phase of his Samriddhi Yatra on January 27, officials confirmed on Thursday. The Cabinet Secretariat issued the official schedule, outlining visits to three districts over three days.
He is set to visit Madhubani on January 27, Darbhanga on January 28, and Samastipur on January 29. District magistrates have been instructed to ensure all arrangements are completed ahead of the visits.
The Samriddhi Yatra, launched by CM Nitish as a state-wide initiative, aims to review the implementation of development schemes and connect directly with citizens. During the yatra, the chief minister is expected to assess the progress of government programmes, examine the challenges faced by beneficiaries, and provide on-the-spot directives to local officials.
The first phase of the yatra, held between January 16 and 24, covered West Champaran, East Champaran, Sitamarhi, Sheohar, Gopalganj, Saran, and Siwan, with Muzaffarpur and Vaishali visited on January 23 and 24, respectively. Review meetings during the initial phase also included detailed discussions of the Saat Nischay-2 and Saat Nischay-3 schemes, state officials said.
